Calculating average property prices in Hungary
The Greale Group handles 100,000 properties on a daily basis. We can calculate average prices by regions and property types based on these properties. We process new calculations each morning, so the average prices may change every day.
Important!
The listed average per square metre prices are calculated from the advertiser’s price and not the actual sales prices!
If we only handle an insignificant number of properties from a given region or type of property, the calculared average price may be very different from prices in other regions or other types of property.
2015 I. quarter analysis – relation of advertiser’s prices to sales price
Panel apartments in the first quater were sold with a buyer’s discount og 2-3% in Budapest, a little higher in other parts of the country, except for Dél-Alföld and Northern-Hungary, where buyers managed to get a discount of 7%.
Brick apartments were sold with a buyers’s discount of 4% in the capital and 5-6% in other parts of the country. For detached houses buyer’s got an average discount of 7% in Buda and 8% in Pest, the same property type waw sold with a 1-2% larger discount in other parts of the country, except for Észak-Alföld, where it was 11% and Dél-Alföld with 13%.
